Mason Robinson (Owner) and Ross Worley (Project Manager)

Who are we?

Huntsville painting is a non-franchise family-owned business located in Huntsville, Alabama. We paint interior and exterior commercial and residential properties.

Huntsville Painting was established in 2021 by Mason Robinson. Mason's father, John, started a painting business in Tuscaloosa in 1985 at the age of 25 years old and is still running the same business all these years later. Quality work and an outstanding reputation go a long way!

In 2011, at the age of 15, Mason decided to join his father and accept the prestigious position of becoming a “helper.” Like all the others in our field who have learned high quality craftsmanship, you must start at the bottom! For the next ten years the father and son duo worked together on everything from one room paint jobs to whole apartment complexes and all other types of residential and commercial projects.

While working with John and attending The University of Alabama, Mason met his future wife and business partner, Carlyn. Upon completion of her master’s degree in aerospace engineering, Mason and Carlyn got together and decided to open a painting business in Huntsville. We are now proudly serving the Tennessee Valley area as well as West/Central Alabama!

Over the course of the past few years Mason and John have transitioned roles. You will now see Mason running the daily operations in Huntsville and John as a great helper! Carlyn assists both Mason and John on a part-time basis in the office. A month ago we hired our first project manager, Ross Worley. Our team looks forward to serving all your painting needs and we appreciate your business!

  • Morgan Math: "Mason and his crew did some outdoor painting for us. Communication was great and the quality of the work was excellent. Very professional."

  • Virginia Seale: "I highly recommend Huntsville Painting! Mason and his team did a fantastic job on the recent project in our home. They were communicative, efficient and courteous. All our furniture was protected during the job and once the painting was complete, everything was cleaned. The freshly painted walls left our home looking renewed! I couldn’t be happier with the result!"

  • Nancy Smith: "Mason and his crew are top notch painters and very trustworthy, neat and courteous. I knew I was in for a great experience when the men took their shoes off when entering my home! They came highly recommended by family and friends and I was not at all disappointed! If you are interested in a quality paint job, call Huntsville Painting!"

  • Kevin Byrnes: "Huntsville Painting just completed painting the exterior of my home. They did a remarkable job!! They spent the time to prep the exterior, paid very close attention to every detail, and completed the job with precision. This is a very talented painting team! They were always on time, cleaned up very well, and pricing was quite fair. Owner, Mason, easy to work with, knows his business, and takes good care of details and his team. They have my highest possible recommendation."

  • Bobby Mathis: "I can’t begin to say enough good things about Huntsville Painting. They are one of the most professional, well organized, friendly, and honest residential contractors I’ve ever done business with. When they say they will be there, they will be there! When they tell you what they’re going to do they not only do it…….they exceed it!! They use the best materials. Their team is extremely experienced. When finished with the work, they make sure you’re happy before they accept one single dime. Mason Robinson has assembled a team of hard working professionals that have a great work ethic and are trustworthy! They even removed the downspouts off my house so they could better paint the siding behind them. Who does that? I seldom recommend a company but I absolutely recommend Huntsville Painting!! If you want you house painted right, call them!"

A Few of Our Inspiring Transformations This Month

Dawn and David Project

The house was painted white 8 years ago and the paint started to break down and become chalky. They also had a deck by the pool where the stain had started to fade from the sun. We replaced a couple rotting board and revived the deck with new stain.. After a thorough wash we painted the house with the same color but with the updated product “Rain Refresh”. After repainting the fading shutters and entire exterior, the house was no longer chalky and was smooth to the touch.

Bob Project

Bob's house was painted white 9 years ago and the paint started to break down and become porous and transparent. We painted it the same color but with an upgraded product called “Rain refresh”. Rain refresh is a self cleaning paint that drys smooth to the touch and allows dirt and dust to wash off even with a light rain. His rod iron hand rails and mailbox also fell victim to the sun fading the black paint. We repainted the iron with an oil base paint that last longer than similar products. Bob was blown away at the prep work involved to keep any paint drops or over spray from making a mess of his property. Like a lot of southern homes Bob has a beautiful front porch with a traditional blue ceiling. We were able to match his existing color and make it look new again. At the end of the project Bob was thrilled to see his house look brand new again.

Patsy Project

Patsy added a beautiful addition to her home a few years ago and recently added a screened in porch to the addition. She wanted to paint her new door and case to the existing paint done in 2021. After trying to remember the paint color we instead took a piece of her painted trim to have the color perfectly matched. The custom color was spot on to the existing paint. After we gave the new porch time to cure we stained the floors and lumber around the sides. We took our time and made sure the stain was the correct color that she liked. She was so excited to see the finished look and couldn't wait to sit on her new porch to drink her morning coffee.

Best Meatball Recipe

Meatball Recipe

This is a weekly staple in the Robinson House! In the summer we use fresh tomatoes from the garden to make the sauce. Highly recommend y’all give this one a try.

Ingredients

2 cups (5.2 oz) fresh bread crumbs*

3/4 cup whole milk, then more if needed

1 lb. 85% lean ground beef**

1 lb. ground pork

2 large eggs

1/2 cup finely minced yellow onion***

2 garlic cloves, minced (2 tsp)

2 Tbsp finely chopped fresh basil

2 Tbsp finely chopped fresh parsley

1 Tbsp finely chopped fresh oregano

1 cup finely shredded Parmesan cheese

Salt and freshly ground black pepper

3/4 cup olive oil, only if using the fried method

Instructions

In a large mixing bowl stir together bread crumbs and milk while adding more milk 1 Tbsp at a time to moisten bread fully. Let rest while you prep ingredients (or at least 5 minutes).

To breadcrumb mixture add beef, pork, eggs, onion, garlic, basil, parsley, oregano, parmesan and season over top of ingredients evenly with salt and pepper (I only use 3/4 tsp salt if I plan on using jar sauce to coat since it can be salty).

Gently toss mixture and break meat up with fingertips until ingredients are evenly mixed.

Shape mixture with greased hands into even size meatballs, about 1 1/4-inches each (or about 38g).

Oven Baked Method

Preheat oven to 400 degrees before you begin preparing meatballs.

Spray two dark coated non-stick pans well with non-stick cooking spray (see note 4), or brush with olive oil.

Place formed meatballs on baking sheets, fitting about 20 per each and spacing evenly apart. Bake in upper and lower third of oven 10 minutes.

Remove and turn meatballs if browned already on bottom (use a thin metal spatula to scrape from baking sheet). Transfer pans to opposite racks and bake until cooked through, about 8 - 12 minutes longer (should register 165 degrees in center of meatballs).

Stir into warmed marinara sauce. Simmer on low heat if desired for even more tender meatballs (about 10 - 20 minutes, toss occasionally gently).
