Frequently Asked Questions

How do you hire and screen your painters? All of our painters have 5+ years of professional experience, and closely monitored quality/customer service rating. They go through an extensive vetting process so you can feel confident about their work.

Do you stand behind your work? We protect our clients in two-ways: With our 100% Satisfaction Guarantee and our 3-Year Iron-Clad Warrantee. In the very rare case there is paint failure due to defective product or application, we’ll come back free to charge to make sure the affected areas are repaired and repainted. We put all our promises in writing.

Are you licensed and insured? Absolutely! We make certain we protect our customers by carrying the appropriate coverages for general liability and workers compensation. Additionally, we are licensed by all local authorities and continually seek out industry recognized certifications and designations to add to our customer’s peace of mind.

Will you keep our property clean and tidy? YES! We use a daily checklist to make sure we keep the work area orderly and all tools/equipment stored in one place.

Do you provide an “estimate” or a “firm quote?” All of our quotes are firm. The price will not change. The only hourly services we offer are related to pop-corn and wallpaper removal. When applicable, this is noted clearly in the quote.

What process do you use to prepare surfaces to make sure the paint “sticks?” We make certain to remove all loose and flaking paint from all surfaces. Often, this is done by pressure washing or manually scraping. Sometimes, surfaces have to be scuffed up, abraded, profiled, or even primed to guarantee adhesion. That’s why we take our time where it counts – in the preparation.

What type of paint do you recommend? We recommend using Benjamin Moore paints because we have a strong relationship with the brand and they produce quality products. This means if there is ever a manufacturing defect, we know that Benjamin Moore paints will stand behind our work – and your project. However, we do make exceptions when there are superior products in specific situations or if our customers have a strong product preference.

Can you provide references? Sure thing! In fact, in this envelope, you’ll find a few already! Plus, we leave behind a “project book” for you to view while we are completing your project proposal on-site in our company vehicle.

When do you take payment? We only take payment at the end of the project when it is completed and you are 100% happy! The only exceptions are when specialty products, such as epoxies or other items, are ordered directly from a manufacturer.

What if I book a consultation? The first thing we’ll do is review your Paint Survey. This allows us to really listen to what you’re hoping to achieve and identify any potential challenges or special considerations. Next, we’ll conduct a Project Audit together. The painter near you take detailed measurements, ask specific questions, and walk your through all your project options. After that, painter near you go out to my vehicle and prepare a written, printed, detailed quote. Painter near you leave you with a Project Book that contains important information about your project, our painters, and our painting process for you to review. When the spainter near you returns, the painter will briefly share important information with you about our Company Story. Then, present you with your Printed Estimate along with a Buyer’s Guide that’s specifically designed to help you safely select a painting contractor you trust around the people and things you love. At that time, if you decide to move forward, we’ll get you placed on the Production Schedule and discuss the various tools and options we have to help you with Color Selection.

Do you move furniture? Yes! We will gladly move and cover your furniture in painters plastic for protection. If you have any breakable, high value items such as china, crystal and glassware, antique vases, etc. we ask that you move these items to a safe location out of the work area.

Will our floors be protected? Absolutely. It is our standard practice to have at least one layer of protection for professional paint jobs using butyl plastic backed drop cloths. For items such as wallpaper and popcorn removal we will provide a base layer protection of painters plastic as well as an additional layer of plastic backed cloth.

Do you only work in Huntsville? No way! If you’re located within 50 miles of Huntsville, Madison, or Tuscaloosa, then we have professional painters near you. Do you spray or roll? Both! Our professional painters are highly skilled in both methods of application. Nine times out of ten we prefer to use a brush and roller on standard interior/exterior work. For the vast majority of paint jobs the brush and roller method provides a thicker more durable layer of paint that will hold up better over time, will have less material waste than spraying, and is less obstructive in the home. We use a sprayer for fine finish cabinet coatings, exterior fence painting/staining, or at your discretion!

Can you match my existing wall color? Yes, we can match any paint color! We work closely with our friends at Huntsville Decorating and The Paint Spot to match your color using their spectrophotometer technology, a precise color measurement instrument.

Do you do popcorn ceiling removal? We sure do! Our professional painters have years of experience with popcorn removal. We thoroughly cover and seal your floors for protection. Additionally, we use a wet scraping method and avoid using wall sanders that spread unwanted dust around your home.

Do you do cabinet painting? Yes, we can paint any surface except for your vehicle! We use the latest, most durable, highest quality paint and primers available to achieve a smooth luxurious “like new” look.
